Although the committee were due to meet at the end of June, it has become apparent that we have no other choice but to cancel the 2021 Roberton Show. A number of factors have played a part in this decision, but the main problem we found was the uncertainty of what restrictions would be in place and how they would affect the show and it's attendance. We hope you will join us in 2022 for a enormously enjoyable and busy event!
Watch out for some online events nearer the time!

The Show committee are optimistic that the 2021 Roberton Show will be able to take place. We have therefore produced an initial draft to show the Classes and attractions so participants can plan entries and save the date.

Of course if anything should change we'll keep everyone posted on social media.

Many thanks in anticipation of your support..

The Annual General Meeting of The Roberton Show Society took place virtually on Wednesday 25th November for the first time ever and hopefully the last in the opinion of the Vice Chairman, Derek Oliver.

Despite having to cancel this year’s Show the committee were very positive and resolved to be optimistic, yet pragmatic with respect to the 2021 Show.

The Poster Competition will be re-instated with increased sponsorship for a trial period for participating Primary Schools in Hawick.

Sadly, as with most other public events, the 2020 Roberton Show was cancelled this year.

However, four categories were transferred to on-line entries so that the Show would not be totally missed this year.

Although entry numbers might have been better, there was an excellent standard submitted in all Classes, those that did participate did so with gusto and enthusiasm which showed through very clearly.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Committee have decided to cancel this year's Show, as it was felt

  • highly unlikely that gatherings of 500+ will be permitted this year and
  • social distancing in the confines of our tents would be all but impossible.

Here's hoping for a great 2021 Show !

“The Snoot Field”, Roberton (courtesy of Mr Robin Bell, Borthwickbrae Farm) was the location once again for this
year’s annual family friendly Roberton Show. The prayers for fine weather were answered and we enjoyed a
wonderful day, with attendance up 7%.

The Roberton Show is a great event in the Valley calendar and it looks as though it has the potential to go from strength to strength, just look at the additional attractions planned for this year.

However, for this wonderful family friendly event to continue, we need more volunteers, not only during the week before but also on Show Day.

We’d like to encourage more valley residents to actively support The Show by volunteering to help with any of the following areas:
