The Annual General Meeting of The Roberton Show Society took place virtually on Wednesday 25th November for the first time ever and hopefully the last in the opinion of the Vice Chairman, Derek Oliver.

Despite having to cancel this year’s Show the committee were very positive and resolved to be optimistic, yet pragmatic with respect to the 2021 Show.

The Poster Competition will be re-instated with increased sponsorship for a trial period for participating Primary Schools in Hawick.

The new attractions appearing in 2019 which helped to make the Show one of the most successful in recent years are set to return for 2021. They include the Dog Agility Demonstrations and Dog Competitions, A Craft Tent, The Reiver’s Encampment with additional centre ring demonstrations.

The traditional attractions associated with our long-standing Show will also be returning, such as The Hawick Scout Band, The Industrial Tent, The Sheep Show, Children’s Games and of course the fabulous Tea Tent with all home-made produce plus much more.

The committee hope that by Saturday 4th September, Scotland will back to normal and that the Show will go ahead, better than ever, if so they’ll be ready.

We would ask that all trophy winners from 2019 return their trophies, either to Andrew Johnson (Sheep Secretary) 01450 370 976 or Alan Bone (Show Secretary) 01450 373 508 as soon as possible please.
