Your show NEEDS you - We need your help

The Roberton Show is a great event in the Valley calendar and it looks as though it has the potential to go from strength to strength, just look at the additional attractions planned for this year.

However, for this wonderful family friendly event to continue, we need more volunteers, not only during the week before but also on Show Day.

We’d like to encourage more valley residents to actively support The Show by volunteering to help with any of the following areas:

  • Show set up duties the week prior to The Show.
  • Gate Duties.
  • Attending Members for the Industrial Tent assisting the Judges.
  • Attending Members for the Industrial Tent for afternoon supervision of exhibits.
  • Raffle Ticket sellers.
  • Helpers for the Children’s Games.
  • Helpers in The Tea Tent.

It’s a great team atmosphere, your help will be greatly appreciated, and although we can’t pay you, we’ll give you a bacon roll and if you volunteer as an Attending Member, you’ll also get your lunch.

If you are interested at all in helping out or becoming a Committee Member, just contact me and I’ll put you in touch with the right person on The Show Committee.

Each year we make an appeal for your help in getting the Show field ready for the big day. So, if you've got some spare time the week before the Show, then the following are the dates/times you'd be welcomed for your help in setting up the Sheep Pens, the Beer Tent and don't forget you get a ticket for a free bacon roll on Show Day!

Sunday 1st September 2019 - The Snoot Field

1.00 pm - Help setup the Sheep Pens


Thursday 5th September 2019 - The Snoot Field

6.00 pm - Help setup the Staging in the Industrial Tent, erect Bar Tent, move and set up furniture. Lifting and moving items from Milsington and the Forman Hall.

Sunday 8th September 2019 – The Snoot Field

From 1.00 pm - Help dismantle the Show Ground.

This year we have designated co-ordinators for the set up and take down, if you have any queries contact Derek Oliver (Vice-Chair) or Syd Anderson, both of whom have a wealth of experience in this field (excuse the pun).
